Protecting the right to bear arms for our active duty military and other Americans

January 18, 2024

Current ATF policy prevents the purchase of firearms by anyone without a permanent resident address. Yet hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Americans who permanently travel in RVs or frequently move as a result of military service are unable to meet this demand, and as such are deprived of their constitutional rights. The Travelers Gun Rights Act, will fix this constitutional infringement by allowing those without permanent addresses to use a PO box or private mailbox address to satisfy this request. I'm pleased that this bill advanced out of the Judiciary committee and will now be considered before the full House of Representatives.
