I am proud to announce that my office is participating in the 2026 Congressional App Challenge! If you are a middle or high school student in Wyoming, I strongly encourage you to join in and register today!

What is the Congressional App Challenge?

The Congressional App Challenge highlights the importance of computer science and STEM by encouraging America's youth to learn how to code through a national competition. 

Middle and high school students across Wyoming have the chance to develop, code, and submit their own unique app for consideration. Students of all skill levels are encouraged to participate and Winning apps will be displayed on the Congressional App Challenge website and in the United States Capitol and winning students are invited to a reception in Washington, DC!

Instructions to Participate:

  • Students must be enrolled in middle or high school at the time the competition ends on October 26, 2026.
  • Students must live or attend school in Wyoming.
  • Students can participate individually or in teams of up to four. If competing as a team, at least half of the team must live or attend school in Wyoming.
  • Students can submit any coded project—on any topic, built for any platform, using any programming language. This includes mobile apps, websites, games, robots, wearable tech, and more.
  • Students can submit work they completed in the classroom last year, in an afterschool program, summer program, or other extracurricular activity. 
  • Applications may be created for any platform, with any programming language (C++, Java, Python, etc), and on any theme.
