Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (R-WY), alongside Congressman Greg Steube (R-FL), introduced a bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code to revoke the tax-exempt status of organizations performing or funding abortions. 

Original cosponsors include Representatives Glenn Grothman (R-WI), Andrew Clyde (R-GA), John Rose (R-TN), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Mary Miller (R-IL), Mark Messmer (R-IN), Clay Higgins (R-LA), John McGuire (R-VA), and Troy Downing (R-MT).

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (R-WY) voted in favor of H.R. 7148, the Consolidated Appropriations Act. With House passage of these bills, the House of Representatives has now completed all 12 annual appropriations bills for Fiscal Year 2026 ahead of the January 30 funding deadline.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (R-WY) voted in favor of H.R. 7006, a two-bill appropriations package. With its passage, the House has now completed 8 of the 12 annual spending bills in advance of the January 30 funding deadline. This package provides funding for the Department of the Treasury, the Executive Office of the President, the judicial system, Washington, D.C., and the Department of State, including foreign aid programs.

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (R-WY) applauded the announcement that Wyoming would receive more than $205 million for fiscal year 2026 through the Rural Health Transformation Program, which Rep. Hageman and Congressional Republicans created this summer in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), also known as the Working Families Tax Cut. Additional funding will follow in the subsequent years.

Washington, D.C.– Today, Rep. Harriet Hageman (R–WY) honored Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis upon the senator’s announcement that she will retire from public life after nearly a half-century, effective at the end of her current term in January 2027. Lummis blazed a wide trail in her native state, serving in the U.S. Senate since 2021, and also holding the state’s only U.S. House of Representatives seat, currently occupied by Hageman, from 2009 to 2017.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (R-WY) introduced the Parental Rights Relief Act to give parents and eligible students a private right of action to enforce their rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA). This bill requires the Department of Education to expeditiously resolve complaints within 90 days.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (R-WY) and Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernández (D-NM) bipartisan legislation promoting tribal economic development advanced out of the Natural Resources Committee, sending it to the full House for consideration. The bill amends the Long-Term Leasing Act, allowing all federally recognized tribes to enter into leases for up to 99 years, giving tribes flexibility and certainty for long-term planning and investment.
