Wyoming's Harriet Hageman became the latest House Republican to back Donald Trump's return to the White House.

February 15, 2023

What happened: Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.), the freshman Republican who toppled then-Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) in a 2022 GOP primary, announced her endorsement of former President Donald Trump's bid to return to the White House in 2024.

She added in a statement to Breitbart: "I believe that Donald Trump was one of the best presidents of my lifetime."

Trump's endorsement of Hageman quickly helped consolidate the field of Republicans running to defeat Cheney, the most vocal Republican in favor of impeaching Trump in the aftermath of the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. Hageman eventually trounced Cheney by nearly 40 points in the August GOP primary.

ICYMI: Trump's so far racked up the public endorsements of five Republican senators and several dozen House Republicans for his 2024 bid.

The timing of the endorsement also coincides with the formal launch of Nikki Haley's presidential bid. But the former governor of South Carolina and Trump U.N. ambassador nabbed an endorsement of her own on Wednesday: Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.).

Norman, a supporter of Trump in 2020 who voted against election certification after the Jan. 6 attack, served with Haley in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2007.
