Congresswoman Hageman Delivers More Than $10 Million in Casework Relief for Constituents

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (WY-AL) announced her office has successfully resolved more than 4,000 individual cases, returning over $10,600,000 in funds, benefits, reimbursements, or corrections for Wyoming constituents through its federal casework efforts.
Providing services to constituents is one of the key roles members of Congress play. They act on behalf of individual constituents advocating for them based on an agency’s actions or inactions; these scenarios are most often referred to as “Congressional Casework."
This milestone underscores her office’s commitment to serving Wyomingites, not just through legislation, but by directly intervening in matters with federal agencies to help everyday citizens.
“Each solved case represents a person my office helped navigate what often feels like an impossible system,” said Rep. Hageman. “If you or someone you know needs assistance with a federal agency, please do not hesitate to reach out. My team and I are here to serve you.”
Constituent casework is one of the most direct ways a congressional office delivers tangible results directly to citizens. When facing a scenario of awaiting a delayed tax refund from the Internal Revenue Service, correcting their benefit amount with the Social Security Administration, or getting the right disability rating from the Veterans Administration, many individuals may struggle to get answers or a resolution when dealing with federal agencies on their own. By intervening, advocating, and guiding the processes, Congresswoman Hageman’s office ensures accountability in federal agencies and helps Wyoming families access what is rightfully theirs.
Wyoming residents who need assistance with a federal agency, such as the Social Security Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, ATF, or IRS, can visit Congresswoman Hageman’s website to submit an assistance request.
