Hageman Applauds Supreme Court Affirmative Action Ruling

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman issued the following statement on the Supreme Court ruling rejecting race-based college admissions as a violation of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause:

Rep. Hageman stated, “I applaud the Supreme Court for today’s decision rejecting race-based college admissions, or “affirmative action.” No individual should face a higher hurdle in gaining access to educational opportunity simply based on race, ethnicity, religion, or sex. The 14^th Amendment ensures that we are a nation of equal opportunity for all.”
