Hageman Visits the Border - Highlights the Failures of Biden and Mayorkas
Today, Harriet Hageman visits the Southern border for a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the Biden Border Crisis. In addition to the hearing, Representative Hageman will tour a Yuma area hospital and see the failures of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to secure the border. In Yuma, all systems and services are at their breaking points due to the surge of illegal immigrants flowing through our open border.
“What is happening in Yuma right now is tragic – and sadly, not atypical of border towns throughout the south. It is both insulting and infuriating that big city politicians in New York and Washington, DC panic when a busload of illegal immigrants arrives in their jurisdiction. They deride our border states who are trying to move illegals out so that legal citizens can get the services they are paying taxes to receive. If a few busloads cause a crisis in a city of millions, what do they think is happening to towns like Yuma?
“This is exactly the point - the uncontrolled flow of Fentanyl, the poor women and children that are victims of human trafficking, and terrorists on watchlists that are sneaking into the country are issues touching every community. Since the Biden administration took power, more than eight times the population of my state of Wyoming have entered the country illegally. This is an invasion created by this administration’s failure to live up to the oaths of office they have taken.”
