Hageman Votes to Support Our Ally Israel

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman voted in favor of providing aid to Israel, who at this moment is in the fight for its very existence. The unprovoked terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7th killed over 1,400 people, including 33 Americans, and led to over 240 hostages being taken by the terror group. The heinous attack has forced Israel to defend itself and requires America to come to the aid of our most loyal ally in the region. The House of Representatives approved the $14.4 billion bipartisan aid package by a 226-196 vote. This legislation allocates aid funds only for Israel, despite President Biden attempting to use the war in Gaza and surrounding areas to demand additional funding for Ukraine and to further streamline the process to allow illegals faster entry into the United States.
Rep. Hageman stated, “Israel values freedom, education, free speech, and democratic governance and is our strongest ally in the Middle East. Israel and her people are on the front lines in the fight against Islamic terrorism – a threat not only to their existence, but also to ours. Providing the resources needed – funding that is fully offset by rescinding Joe Biden’s army of new IRS agents – is vital to American interests and our ability to deal with any terrorist threats that arise from the Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, and Iranian merchants of death who seek to destroy our country and western civilization.”
