Biden's energy policies deny tribal communities $1 trillion in "racist" fossil fuel development
I questioned representatives from the Bureau of Land Management and the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation, and Enforcement as part of examining their FY24 budget requests. Immediately, the question dodging and delaying tactics that have often defined my oversight attempts of the Biden Administration surfaced yet again.
When asked for updates on Wyoming mine leases that have been pending for years, they claimed that not enough information was available yet, or that they were "working on it". I also confronted the BLM director with facts showing the direct harm Biden's energy policies are having on tribal economies and education (robbing them of nearly $1 trillion , asking BLM to commit to working with tribes to expedite their production leases. As expected, she refused to answer.
