Delisting Wyoming's grizzlies will save lives and preserve other species
April 27, 2023
The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem grizzly bear met its recovery goal 20 years ago, but environmental activists and bureaucratic intervention have prevented its delisting, in line with Endangered Species Act guidelines.
As a result, the bear population has ballooned and expanded well beyond its previous range. The longer we wait to address this concern and return population management to Wyoming, the greater the threat to humans and other species within the ecosystem. Delisting the grizzly bear is necessary to ensure that other species do not experience significant population decline.
