Electric vehicles aren't practical for the American West
November 8, 2023
Once again, the federal government is artificially propping up an industry that isn't able to survive on its own. Electric vehicles are simply not a viable option in Wyoming, where long drives and freezing temperatures make the notion of long road trips time-consuming and impractical.
My amendment to the THUD appropriations bill would have prevented the allocation of federal funds for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program which distorts the definition of "infrastructure" to build thousands of EV chargers across the nation, even in places where there is no demand for them.
