If the BLM continues to block Americans from our "public" lands, I will block their funding.

The BLM was created for a simple purpose: to steward America's land and resources for present and future generations. Yet in recent years, their priority has shifted to preventing Americans from enjoying or using these lands at all. They seek to lock up land for "conservation purposes" without ever stating what the lands are supposed to be conserved for: the reality is, they are simply trying to force a radical energy shift in our nation by blocking us from harnessing the wonderful, abundant resources our nation possesses.

That is why I submitted an amendment to the Interior department's appropriations bill that will cut the BLM's funding in half. If they will not perform their congressionally-assigned job, they do not deserve congressionally-allotted funding.
