It's time for the Judicial Branch to perform it's Constitutional role.
May 10, 2023
The Constitution clearly outlines the separation of powers between the federal branches of government: Congress creates laws, the Courts interpret and apply those laws, and the Executive enforces them. For too long, federal courts have deferred to unelected bureaucrat interpretations of laws passed by Congress, in many instances drastically twisting the statute's intent.
The Separation of Powers Restoration Act, which I cosponsored and discussed at the House Judiciary Committee hearing today, will help return our nation's government back to the original design implemented by our Founding Fathers.
