The Left is seeking to redefine America's past in order to change its future.

I grew up in a nation that taught students that the America was a beacon of light to the world; that despite its failings and struggles, it is a good nation of good people striving to become a More Perfect Union.

Yet the liberal elites behind critical race theory, the 1619 Project, and other revisionist programs are trying to redefine our nation as hopelessly broken. They try to paint America as a place of deep-rooted hatred and oppression instead of a land of opportunity, instilling a disgust for our nation instead of a love for our values.

This cannot stand. As such, my amendment will block the Department of Education from utilizing these programs to indoctrinate our children.
