Producers vs Preventers: the War over America's Natural Resources
Congressional panels about our nations resources typically fall into two camps: hard working Americans who provide the fundamental building blocks that create a flourishing society, and academics and government bureaucrats who seek to prevent the use of valuable resources and land that could make peoples lives better.
Conservatives do not hate the environment; as our name suggests, we want to conserve and harness it to better peoples lives both now and for countless generations to come. That means affordable food, cheaper energy, and sustainable agriculture. The Preventers, instead, only hamper efforts to protect endangered species and dangerous areas by pulling money, resources, and materials away from areas that need it and that could reap greater benefits.
