Rep. Hageman interrogates BLM official over the draft Rock Springs RMP and natural asset companies
Today, the Natural Resources Committee's Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee held an oversight hearing on the Bureau of Land Management, an agency that controls millions of acres of land across Wyoming.
Given the immense impact the BLM has on our state, I joined the panel to ask them face-to-face about their role in the NY Stock Exchange's recent attempt to sell off American land through natural asset companies. I also interrogated them about the deeply flawed Rock Springs Field Office Resource Management Plan that would have walled off millions of acres of Wyoming from energy development, mining, livestock grazing, recreation activities, and much more.
Wyomingites deserve answers as to why actions like these, which forebode immense harm to our state's economy, are moving forward with limited opportunities to provide feedback.
