For over 30 years as a private attorney and now as your representative, I have defended Wyoming against the administrative state. For too long, Washington, D.C. has delegated authority to unelected bureaucrats in a manner that jeopardizes our Constitution.
Administrative agencies have the power to write, enforce, and judicially review law, even though they are unelected and therefore unaccountable to the People. How this translates in Wyoming is the EPA’s ability to bring tens of thousands of dollars of fines per day against a rancher who simply cleared out an irrigation ditch on his property, or small businesses losing resources to complex regulatory compliance.
As a member of the Judiciary Committee, I have primary jurisdiction over administrative law where I am working to restore power in Congress, ensure due process, and otherwise stop the onslaught of trillions in hidden taxes that stem from annual regulatory compliance.
More on The Administrative State
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Harriet Hageman, alongside Congressman Jared Golden (D-ME), introduced the Instituting Notification Formalities on Reorganizing Mail (INFORM) Act of 2025 to improve transparency and accountability within USPS. This bill responds to USPS’s failure to properly notify customers about significant reforms under its Delivering for America (DFA) Plan which has exacerbated delays and increased costs, particularly in rural areas.
Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman introduced the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) Federal Jurisdiction Act, and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) is introducing the Senate companion bill. This legislation strengthens legal defenses against frivolous lawsuits aimed at bankrupting gun makers and undermining constitutional freedoms. Amending the PLCAA will ensure firearm manufacturers can remove cases to federal court, while also providing for fair legal proceedings and more consistent application of procedural rules.
Washington, DC— Congresswoman Harriet Hageman reintroduced the No Net Gain in Federal Lands Act, the PASTURES Act, and legislation to repeal the SUSTAINS Act to protect Wyoming’s landowners and preserve the fundamental constitutional right to own and manage private property.
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Harriet Hageman signed a letter to President Trump, led by Congressman Jack Bergman (MI-01), calling on the President to suspend the USPS’s “Delivering for America” (DFA) plan, citing its harmful impact on rural and remote communities.

Wyoming Congresswoman Harriet Hageman is among Republicans in Congress calling out federal officials for an armed, intimidating response to a South Dakota ranch family’s home over a 75-year-old property line dispute.
A scathing letter obtained by Cowboy State Daily early Wednesday was sent to Alison Ramsdell, U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota, from Hageman and other congressional representatives. It calls for Ramsdell to provide a briefing about the case of Charles and Heather Maude of Caputa, South Dakota.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman reintroduced the Regulatory Cooling Off Act, which amends the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) to slow the regulatory onslaught perpetrated against the American people by federal bureaucrats. By slowing down the rulemaking timeline, increasing transparency, and streamlining judicial relief, this bill aims to empower the American people rather than unelected officials.
