Border Security and Immigration
Border security is national security, and the Biden Administration’s self-created border crisis is one of the greatest threats facing our country. Over 11 million illegal immigrants have entered our country since Biden took office and millions more known and unknown “gotaways” have entered the country. Among the ranks crossing our southwest borders are known terrorists, smugglers, and gang members. The cartels have taken advantage of this to expand human trafficking operations and flood the United States with fentanyl, and other devastating substances.
As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, I have jurisdiction over the enforcement of our immigration laws and helped the House of Representatives pass H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, the strongest border security bill in American history. Ending the invasion of our country by people who wish to do us harm is among my top priorities in Congress.

U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman pulled no punches in blasting one of the most prominent cabinet members of President Joe Biden’s administration as a liar and “tyrant” during a House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.

Wyoming’s GOP congresswoman absolutely blistered Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, slamming him for allegedly lying to the American people.
Rep. Harriet Hageman, who replaced GOP Rep. Liz Cheney in Congress, minced no words, calling Mayorkas the kind of tyrant that the American Founding Founders warned about.
Hour after hour, Secretary Mayorkas has attempted to deflect, dodge, dance, and deceive members of the House Judiciary Committee, claiming to have no knowledge of censorship activities and anti-conservative actions of the Department of Homeland Security, or flatly refusing that such activities have taken place.
My colleagues and I see through the charade, and so do the American people. The censorship industrial complex must be dismantled, and the First Amendment must be protected at all costs from tyrants like this.
Rep Hageman joins Newsmax's "Chris Salcedo Show" to discuss the crisis at the US-Mexico border, lessons learned from the House Judiciary Committee's field hearing in Yuma, AZ, and the refusal of committee Democrats to attend the hearing, as well as Newsmax's deplatforming. WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman voted in favor of H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023. This comprehensive legislation incorporates critical policies important to ending the illegal immigrant crisis on our southern border. It is a crisis that is directly the result of the failed policies and lack of enforcement by the Biden Administration – President Biden issued 94 executive orders related to the border within his first 100 days in office.

U.S. Sen. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyoming, wants the United States to resume the southern border policies it enforced under former President Donald Trump.
With an influx of migrants expected to come across the southern border with Mexico in response to President Joe Biden lifting a COVID-19 pandemic-era restriction on immigration, Wyoming’s congressional delegation is blasting Biden’s policies.

Since Joe Biden was sworn in, over 10 times the population of Wyoming has illegally entered the country, and enough fentanyl has crossed the border to kill every person in the Western Hemisphere 3 times over.
A nation without a secure border can never be safe or fully sovereign. It's time to secure the border to preserve our nation.
After over 6 hours of constant debate on the Republicans' proposed fix for our nation's porous border and inadequate immigration system, my Democrat colleagues finally began to realize just how horrendous the conditions created by Biden's border crisis are.
Yet even with this revelation, they continue to seek to address the symptoms of this crisis, not solve the problem itself. Simply pouring more money towards temporary bandages will not fix this crisis: we need wholesale change, and that's what the Border Security and Enforcement Act will do.
Biden's human trafficking operation continues to grow, and rivers of narcotics like fentanyl run unabated into our nation.
No community is spared from the disastrous effects of this administration's failed border policies, and until our border is secured, crime will continue to rise and overdose deaths will rob families of their loved ones.
