Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (WY-AL) praised the Veterans Affairs Loan Informed Disclosure (VALID) Act’s inclusion in the Senate’s ROAD to Housing Act, which recently advanced out of the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee. Congresswoman Hageman co-led this bipartisan legislation with Representative Brittany Pettersen (CO-7) to improve the homebuying process for veterans by ensuring they are fully informed about the benefits of VA home loans alongside FHA and conventional loans.

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Harriet Hageman today released the following statement applauding the U.S. Department of the Interior’s decision to approve the West Antelope II South Tract Mining Plan Modification. This action authorizes the recovery of 14.5 million tons of federally owned coal across approximately 857 federal acres in Converse and Campbell Counties and extends the operational life of the Antelope Mine through 2037.

Renaming the federal Endangered Species Act to the “Endangered Species Recovery Act” is purely symbolic, but it points things in the right direction, a former Trump administration official said. 

Wyoming Republican congressional delegates Sen. Cynthia Lummis and Rep. Harriet Hageman on Thursday introduced a measure to formally add the word “recovery” to the ESA’s title. 

The relabeling would aptly reflect the ESA’s original intent, Wyoming attorney William Perry Pendley told Cowboy State Daily.

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Harriet Hageman joined her Republican colleagues in passing a historic rescission package, sending it to President Trump’s desk. This measure removes $1.1 billion in annual federal funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (PBS & NPR), and $7.9 billion from USAID foreign aid programs, totaling $9 billion in reclaimed taxpayer dollars.

Tomorrow, the House Natural Resources Committee will meet to consider 12 pieces of legislation that have been introduced in the 119th Congress. One of the bills is Rep. Harriet Hageman’s (R-WY) H.R. 281, the Grizzly Bear State Management Act of 2025.
